WHO WE ARE :
YouthBuild Sierra Leone (YBSL), “an Organization in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) United Nations since 2022”, is a Social Enterprise and Technical training, coaching, and counselling centre for disadvantaged youth, located at 8 Rosanda road, Makeni in the Northern Province of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
The organisation is a registered private not-for-profit institution with registration number: SL061217YOUTH02417 and Tax Identification Number: 1094431-4. The Organisation was established in 2015 and completed registration on the 6thDecember 2017. In 2020 YBSL was approved by the Ministry of Technical and Higher Educative as a technical vocational institution.
Organizational structure; YBSL has a board of directors to guide the organization. The founder who doubles as the CEO runs the affairs of the organization, with support by strong administration. It has 10 staff and a good number of volunteers to the 7 disciplines they do. It has a student representative body comprising of 5 students for the welfare of the general student body.
As an institution, the Organisation’s vision is on how to transform the Human resource into employable and wealth producing Human Capital. In tune with this vision, YBSL at present is engaged in the following activities: - 
   • Apprenticeship placement of disadvantaged out of school youths in the Makeni city and environs. 
   • YBSL conducts remedial education classes for out of school youths in basic language skill communications, maths and community leadership as well as in enterprise skills development. 
   • YBSL also engages in leadership and Counselling coaching and mentoring for select youths who demand or have been identified as needing such training.
YBSL as an independent organisation that does not charge fees for it services depends on funding and donations from philanthropist bodies and persons to fulfil its visions, objectives, and contribute meaningfully to building of the most important resource of any nation which is its Human resource.
